Since 1987, Alma has continuously owned and operated her own law practice in Seattle, Washington. She graduated from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York, in 1976, and thereafter, she graduated from law school at the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C., in 1979.
She has extensive trial experience, beginning with her work as a criminal defense attorney with the Seattle King County Public Defender’s Office, in October, 1979. She left the Public Defender’s office in 1986, and began practicing law in matters which included estate planning and probate, probate and trust litigation, dissolution and family law litigation, and other areas of civil law and litigation. She has maintained her fully accessible neighborhood office in Seattle’s Capitol Hill since 2005.
Alma is a member of the Washington State Bar association, the bar in Washington, D.C., and the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington.
